To Tear up My Soul

IMG_5085.JPG

We’re gating all our roads and cutting through the staircases
Finding longer shadows in the sunny afternoon races
Giving all our time
Just for sunshine
And falling down in wonder over colored skies
It doesn’t hurt, no
It’s different pain, oh
But I’m so glad this beauty landed here to tear up my soul.

We’re wandering through fields and old forgotten pastures
Holding hands and singing as the sun is setting faster
Getting lost in skies
Oceans for our eyes
Eternity is piercing through these moments in our lives
It doesn’t hurt, no
It’s different pain, oh
But I’m so glad this beauty landed here to tear up my soul.

It’s bringing me down to my knees
It’s living water that we breathe
Oh temporary piece of beauty
You bring us light that we can hold

We’re singing out our song and waiting for the echoing
Listening to the river as it carries us into the evening
Looking up above
Remembering the sun
That opened up our hearts and filled them with a kind of love
It didn’t hurt, no
It’s different pain, oh
But I’m so glad this beauty landed here to tear up my soul.

It’s bringing me down to my knees
It’s living water that we breathe

Oh temporary piece of beauty
You bring us light that we can hold

It doesn’t hurt, no
It’s different pain, oh
But I’m so glad this beauty landed here to tear up my soul.
