A Waltz
Come dance with me to this waltz I found in my record collection
I don’t like wasting sound waves while my turntable spins around
Follow my lead we will find the rhythm this song speaks of
Please dance with me before our music moves on
Come walk with me through the fields, it’s almost harvest time
I wish their beauty could stay forever and a day
Take it slow, for I enjoy hearing the music of growing
I’d like you to walk with me before harvest comes
You should stop waiting for a better time,
Right now’s the best time
To sing, to run, to fly, to learn to love
Come fly with me to the stars, we’ll catch a ride on the wind
I love watching planet earth from up here where no one gets hurt
We’ll gaze at the oceans and trees as we sit in the atmosphere
Come fly with me to the stars before daylight comes
You can’t do the things that you want to by sitting on your hands
You’ve got to get up and go
And sing, run, fly, learn to love
Come dance with me to this waltz I found in my record collection
We’ll find the rhythm we hear in the music that spins around us
I know you want to get up and dance
I see it in your eyes
Come dance with me before the music moves on.
