You Are My Home
You glimmer in the sun
Even when the night has taken over I’m better by your side
You help me see the light as we roam
So even when our boat goes gliding down the coast away from here And even if the trees start sharking in the breeze over us
You are my home.
When I hit the ground,
You remind me how to stand
We lean into the light,
And help each other see how we’ve grown
So even if our walls try to crumble down and fall into broken things And even if the glass in our windows doesn’t last ‘till we’re gone
You are my home.
I know that we’re only human
And sometimes we will break down Good thing we’ve got somewhere to land
You promised me forever
And I said that of course I do, too
Those words are like a house
That’s built and gonna last through the rain
So even when this day starts to fade away into years gone by
I know that we’ll go on growing from this ground that we have sown
‘Cause you are my home.
Home, oh oh. Home, oh oh.
